Abstract

Otpad je jedan od najvećih problema današnjice. Količine otpada u svijetu svake
godine rastu. Kako bi se spriječili problemi uzrokovani štetnim djelovanjem otpada
potrebno je funkcionalno i korisno gospodarenje otpadom. Reciklažna dvorišta su
ograđeni prostori namijenjeni za sakupljanje i privremeno skladištenje različitih vrsta
otpada. Otpad na reciklažnim dvorištima sakuplja se u za to predviđene spremnike
te je zbrinjavan od tvrtke koja se bavi gospodarenjem otpada.
U ovom je radu prikazan pozitivan utjecaj Europske Unije (EU) na gospodarenje
otpadom. Donesenim direktivama, gospodarenje otpadom u Republici Hrvatskoj
(RH) podignuto je na višu razinu. Jedan od pozitivnih rezultata djelovanja tih direktiva
je značajan porast broja reciklažnih dvorišta u RH izgrađenih u posljednjih nekoliko
godina. U razdoblju od 2016. do 2021. godine izgrađena su 142 nova reciklažna
dvorišta financirana sredstvima EU.
Jedno od reciklažnih dvorišta izgrađenih u navedenom vremenskom periodu je i
reciklažno dvorište Grada Pregrade. Sa svojim radom započelo je 2019. godine. U
radu su obrađene količine zaprimljenog otpada na reciklažno dvorište u razdoblju od
01.01.2020. do 31.12.2020. U navedenom je razdoblju zaprimljeno 107.670,5 kg
odvojenog otpada. Količine zaprimljenog odvojenog otpada ukazuju na smanjenje
količina komunalnog otpada što je jedan od ciljeva EU za bolje i učinkovitije
gospodarenje otpadom. Također je provedena i anketa kojom je ispitano 50
sudionika o recikliranju i korištenju reciklažnog dvorišta.

Abstract (english)

Nowadays, Waste is one of the biggest problems. The amount of waste in the world
is growing every year. In order to prevent problems caused by harmful effects of
waste, functional and useful waste management is needed. Recycling yards are
fenced areas designed for the collection and temporary storage of various types of
waste. Waste in recycling yards is collected in special containers and disposed of by
a waste management company.
The paper presents positive impacts of the European Union (EU) on waste
management. With enforced directives, waste management in the Republic of
Croatia has risen to a higher level. One of the positive results from adopting these
directives is a significant increase in the number of built recycling yards in the
Republic of Croatia in the last few years. In the period from 2016 to 2021, 142 new
EU funded recycling yards were built.
One of the recycling yards built in the specified period is the recycling yard of the
town of Pregrada. It was opened in 2019. The paper shows the amount of waste that
was collected at the recycling yard in the period from .1st January 2020 to 31st
December 2020.During that period 107.607,5 kg of separated waste were collected.
The amount of collected separated waste indicates a reduction in the amount of
municipal waste, which is one of the goals the EU has set in order to achieve better
and more efficient waste management. Also, a survey was conducted in which 50
participants expressed their view on recycling and the use of the recycling yard.
