Abstract

Upotreba Geografskog informacijskog sustava (GIS) danas je sve raširenija u raznim djelatnostima, pa tako i kod obrade hidrogeoloških podataka. GIS ima nezamjenjivu ulogu u obradi i spremanu podataka, provođenju prostornih analiza te izradi modela i predviđanja budućih stanja te je stoga korisno znati njegov princip rada i mogućnosti, što je u određenoj mjeri prikazano u ovom radu. U radu su također obrađene površinske i podzemne metode hidrogeoloških istraživanja. GIS se jako lijepo može uklopiti i nadopuniti gotovo sva hidrogeološka istraživanja. Iako mu to nije jedina svrha, GIS producira kartografske prikaze koji služe za vizualizaciju rezultata provedenih istraživanja, a budući da nastaju izravno iz baze podataka omogućuju višenamjenski prikaz nekog područja. Na kraju rada navedeni su i objašnjeni neki primjeri korištenja GIS-a u obradi hidrogeoloških podataka kao što su primjerice digitalizacija analognih karata, izrada baze podataka, hidrološke analize, izrada matematičkih modela ili zaštita voda itd.

Abstract (english)

Nowadays, the application of Geographic Information System (GIS) is widely used in various activities, including the processing of hydrogeological data. GIS has an irreplaceable role for data processing and storage, for conducting spatial analyzes and making models and predictions of future conditions, so it is extremely useful to know the its principle of operation and capabilities, which is to some extent presented in this paper. The paper also deals with surface and underground methods of hydrogeological research. GIS can be used and complement almost all hydrogeological research. Although this is not its only purpose, GIS produces cartographic representations that serve to visualize the results of research, and since they are created directly from a database, they enable a multi-purpose display of an area. At the end of the paper, some examples of the use of GIS in the processing of hydrogeological data are given and explained, such as digitization of analog maps, database creation, hydrological analysis, development of mathematical models or water protection, etc.
