Abstract

U ovom radu prikazan je utjecaj onečišćujućih tvari iz otpadne vode na okoliš općenito,
a posebno na živi svijet te zdravlje ljudi. Čovjek svojim načinom života upotrebljava
resurse iz okoliša i time im mijenja kvalitetu, ne razmišljajući uvijek kako to ponovo
može utjecati na njega. To posebno vrijedi za vodu koja je jako rasprostranjena, bez
koje nema života, a ujedno je i najosjetljiviji resurs. Onečišćenje i zaštita vode su važan
problem inženjerstva okoliša. U radu je posebna pažnja posvećena akumulaciji štetnih
tvari iz vode kroz lanac prehrane u prirodi te je objašnjeno kako i kojim putem štetne
tvari dolaze natrag do čovjeka.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents the impact of contaminants from waste water on the environment
in general, and especially on wildlife and human health. People use natural resources
from their environment and change their quality with their way of living without thinking
how this could in turn affect them.. This especially refers to water since it is widespread
and there is no life without it, and also because it is the most delicate resource. Water
pollution and protection is an important problem that environmental engineering deals
with. The paper particularly pays attention to the accumulation of harmful substances
from water through the food chain in nature and explains how these substances
eventually find their way back to people.
