Abstract

U ovom su radu istraživane mogućnosti recikliranja fotonaponskih panela. U uvodnom
dijelu su opisani obnovljivi izvori energije s fokusom na solarnu energiju i prirodni
energetski potencijal sunca u Hrvatskoj. Zatim je opisan princip rada fotonaponskih
panela i ćelija te podjela samih fotonaponskih panela. Glavno poglavlje se bavi
fotonaponskim panelima na kraju životnog vijeka; kategorizacijom, količinama,
kvarovima te gospodarenjem tim otpadom na kraju životnog vijeka. Gospodarenje
otpadom je prikazano kroz hijerarhiju otpada, a naglasak je na samom recikliranju i
tehnologijama koje su u razvoju. Obrađen je i potencijal recikliranja fotonaponskih panela
te prepreke koje se javljaju kod implementacije kružnog gospodarstva i mogućih rješenja.
Na kraju su prikazane sadašnje regulative u Europskoj Uniji i svijetu te primjeri dobre
prakse, gdje je recikliranje ove vrste otpada implementirano.

Abstract (english)

In this paper, the possibilities of recycling photovoltaic panels were investigated. The
introductory part describes renewable energy sources with a focus on solar energy and
the natural energy potential of the Sun in Croatia. Then the principle of operation of
photovoltaic panels and cells is described, together with the division of the photovoltaic
panels themselves. The main chapter deals with end-of-life photovoltaic panels;
categorization, quantities, breakdowns and management of this waste at the end of its life.
Waste management is presented through the hierarchy of waste, and the emphasis is on
recycling itself and technologies that are under development. The potential of recycling
photovoltaic panels and the obstacles that arise in the implementation of the circular
economy and possible solutions are also discussed. At the end, current regulations in the
European Union and the world and examples of good practice, where the recycling of this
type of waste has been implemented, are presented.
