Abstract

Prikupljanje podataka u svrhu praćenja i ublažavanja štetnih utjecaja plinova i klimatskih
promjena goruća je tema današnjice. Skupi i komplicirani sustavi daju veliku preciznost
podataka no njihov glavni problem leži u tome što se zbog toga ne mogu postaviti na
dovoljno velikom prostoru. Jeftina senzorika omogućila bi nam gušći raspored senzora,
a samim time i podataka, što bi samim time dovelo do više podataka na većem prostoru,
čime bi se mogli pokrit veće površine pod nadzorom. U tome veliku ulogu igra Arduino
pločica sa pripadajućim senzorima koji svojom jednostavnošću programiranja i niskom
cijenom doprinose uvelike ostvarenju tog cilja. Ispitivanjem preciznosti takvih rješenja
ključno je u njihovoj implementaciji. Iako sami od sebe ne toliko precizni za određivanje
točnih koncentracija plinova, njihovom kalibracijom uz već postojeće sustave postigli bi
se zadovoljavajući rezultati koji bi opravdali investiranje u takvu vrstu sustava. U radu su
za primjer uzeti Arduino Mics-2714 i Mics-5914 senzori za detekciju NOx i NH3 spojeva.
Usporedna mjerenja radila su se sa Testo i Geotech5000 profesionalnim uređajima.
Mjerenjima je pokazano da Arduino senzori imaju osrednju korelaciju podataka sa
profesionalnim uređajima, zbog čega su potrebna daljnja istraživanja sa više mjernih
točaka kako bi se pomoću regresije i statističke analize precizno kalibrirali uređaji do
zadovoljavajuće preciznosti što je moguće napraviti kako je navedeno u nekim
istraživanjima.

Abstract (english)

Data collection for the purpose of monitoring and mitigating the harmful effects of gases
and climate change is a burning topic today. Expensive and complicated systems provide
high data accuracy, but their main problem lies in the fact that they cannot be placed in a
large enough space. Cheap sensors have allowed us a denser arrangement of sensors, and
thus data, which leads to more data in a larger space, which could cover larger areas under
surveillance. The Arduino board with the associated sensors plays a big role in this, and
with its simplicity of programming and low price, they contribute to the great
achievement of this goal. Testing the accuracy of such solutions is crucial in their
implementation. Although they themselves are not so precise for determining the exact
concentrations of gases, their calibration with already existing systems would achieve
satisfactory results that would justify investing in this type of system. Arduino Mics-2714
and Mics-5914 sensors for detection of NOx and NH3 compounds are taken as examples.
Comparative measurements were done with Testo and Geotech5000 professional devices.
Measurements have shown that Arduino sensors have a mediocre correlation of data with
professional devices, which is why further research with multiple measurement points is
needed to accurately calibrate devices with regression and statistical analysis that meet
the precision that can be done as stated in some studies.
