Abstract

Odlagališta su mjesta gdje se otpad odlaže iznad ili ispod zemlje i najstarija je tehnika gospodarenja otpadom. Odlagališta otpada jedan su od većih problema današnjice jer veliki broj njih nije izgrađen adekvatno i higijenski. Zbog toga otpad koji se odlaže na njih može imati štetne učinke na okoliš i zdravlje ljudi. U Republici Hrvatskoj još uvijek postoji puno odlagališta na kojima je odložen neobrađeni otpad i još uvijek su vrlo aktivna po pitanju nastajanja plinova.
Čvrsti komunalni otpad proizvodi veliku količinu plinova. Dvije najvažnije komponente odlagališnih plinova su metan (CH4) i ugljikov dioksid (CO2) Oni su važni staklenički plinovi i stoga je potrebno spriječiti njihovo slobodno ispuštanje u atmosferu. Svako odlagalište treba imati sustav za prikupljanje i kontrolu ispušnog plina kako bi se spriječili požari, eksplozije, proklizavanja itd.
Ovaj diplomski rad predstavlja rezultate mjerenja odlagališnog plina i temperature u edometarskom pokusu. Za potrebe pokusa koristio se bioosušeni MBO otpad s ŽCGO Marišćina koji je pogodan za odlaganje na bioreaktorsko odlagalište i energetsku oporabu.

Abstract (english)

Landfills are places where waste is dumped above or below ground and it is the oldest waste management technique. Landfills are one of the major problems of today because a large number of them are not built adequately and do not meet hygiene standards. Therefore, waste disposed of in these landfills can have detrimental effects on the environment and human health. In the Republic of Croatia, there are still many landfills where untreated waste is disposed of and they are still very active in terms of gas emissions.
Municipal solid waste produces a large amount of gases. The two most important components of landfill gases are methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).They are important greenhouse gases and therefore need to be prevented from being released freely into the atmosphere. Each landfill should have a degassing system to collect and control exhaust gases in order to prevent fires, explosions, slips, etc.
This master thesis presents the results of landfill gas and temperature measurements in an odometric experiment. For the purposes of the experiment, biodried MBO waste from CWMC Marišćina was reused, which suitable for disposal at the bioreactor landfill and energy recovery.
