Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad bavi se geotehničkim problemom slijeganja nasipa koji se javlja tijekom izgradnje prometnica, u ovom konkretnom slučaju na mostu Krapina i nadvožnjaku Grgići. Nasipi su važne komponente prometne infrastrukture koje omogućavaju promjenu visine koja je potrebna za izgradnju prometnica na morfološki zahtjevnim terenima. Izgradnjom nasipa nailazimo i na problematiku slijeganja koja direktno utječe na stabilnost i dugovječnost prometnica.
Istaknut je glavni uzrok slijeganja, a to je proces konsolidacije tla, međutim, tu su još vrlo bitni faktori poput neadekvatne zbijenosti tla, loše drenaže i težine samog nasipa. Nadalje, objašnjeno je na koji način se može ubrzati sam proces konsolidacije te važnost i postupak praćenja samog slijeganja na terenu. Sve je to potkrijepljeno u posljednjem poglavlju s primjerom iz prakse koji je uspješno proveden. Za rješavanje geotehničkog problema slijeganja vrlo je bitno provesti temeljite istražne radove, a uz to je vrlo važna dobra suradnja između inženjera, geologa i stručnjaka za okoliš. Također je potreban kontinuirani nadzor i održavanje cestovnih nasipa nakon izgradnje kako bi se spriječili mogući problemi.

Abstract (english)

This master thesis deals with the geotechnical problem of embankment settlement which occurs during the construction of roads, in this particular case on the Krapina bridge and the Grgići overpass. Embankments are essential components of traffic infrastructure which enable the change in height that is required for the construction of roads on different terrains. During the process of embankment construction we encounter the problem of settlement, which directly affects the stability and longevity of roads.
The thesis puts emphasis on the main cause of settlement, , which is the process of soil consolidation, but other very important factors contribute to it such as inadequate soil compaction, poor drainage and the weight of the embankment itself. Furthermore, an explanation is given as to how the process of consolidation can be accelerated and why the process of monitoring the settlement on the ground is important. The last chapter of the thesis shows a practical example that was successfully implemented and which confirms everything that was stated earlier. In the last chapter we conclude that in order to solve the problem of geotechnical settlement it is crucial to carry out thorough investigation works as well as to establish cooperation among engineers, geologists and environmental experts. Also, continuous monitoring and maintenance of road embankments after construction are necessary in order to prevent possible problems.
