Abstract

U početku građevinarstva ljudi su koristili prirodne materijale poput drva, kamena,
bambusa ili slame za izgradnju svojih nastambi. Ti materijali dobivali su se iz
prirode, bili su odr~ivi i nisu imali btetan utjecaj na okolib. Me utim, pove anjem
potrebe za izgradnjom stambenih i poslovnih objekata te razvojem građevinske
industrije, započela je i masovna proizvodnja građevnih materijala s ciljem
ubrzanja i optimalizacije gradnje. Posljedično, građevinska je industrija postala
jedan od najvećih zagađivača okoliša. Cilj ovog rada je navesti zelene (obnovljive
ili alternativne) materijale koji se mogu koristiti kao alternativa tradicionalnim
materijalima, izolacijama i oblogama te analizirati prednosti i nedostatke upotrebe
zelenih materijala u građevinskoj industriji.

Abstract (english)

In the beginning of building construction, people used natural materials such as
wood, stone, bamboo or straw to build their dwellings. These materials were
obtained from nature, were sustainable and did not have harmful effects on the
environment. However, the increase in the need for the construction of residential
and commercial buildings and the development of the construction industry have
led to the mass production of building materials with the aim of speeding up and
optimizing construction. Consequently, the construction industry has become one
of the biggest polluters of the environment. The aim of this paper is to list green
(renewable or alternative) materials that can be used as an alternative to
traditional materials, insulation and cladding as well as to analyze the advantages
and disadvantages of using green materials in the construction industry.
