Abstract

Odlaganje otpada na odlagalište otpada još uvijek se koristi kao jedan od glavnih načina za zbrinjavanje otpada. Kod svakog odlagališta javljaju se velike količine odlagališnih plinova od kojih su najznačajniji metan i ugljikov dioksid. Ti plinovi se ubrajaju u značajne stakleničke plinove i kao takvi moraju se spriječiti da izlaze u atmosferu. Upravo zbog toga, svako odlagalište otpada mora imati adekvatan i pravilno postavljen sustav za sakupljanje i kontrolu odlagališnih plinova tj. sustav za otplinjavanje. Stvaranje plinova na odlagalištu otpada ovisi o nekoliko čimbenika, a to su: sastav, veličina i starost otpada, sadržaj vlage u otpadu, pH i temperatura. Osim metana i ugljikova dioksida odlagališni plinovi koji se još mogu javiti su kisik, vodik, sumporovodik, ugljikov monoksid, dušik. U ovom radu nalazi se opis odlagališta neopasnog otpada „Totovec“ u Međimurskoj županiji i prikaza rezultata analize emisije u zraku u razdoblju od 2005. – 2017. godine. Mjerenje koncentracije određenih odlagališnih plinova provele su tvrtke H – PROJEKT d. o. o. i ANT d. o. o. – laboratorij za analitiku i toksikologiju.

Abstract (english)

Disposing waste at a landfill site is still used as one of the main forms of waste disposal. Large amounts of landfill gases occur at each landfill, the most important of which are methane and carbon dioxide. These gases are considered main greenhouse gases and as such must be prevented from entering the atmosphere. It is precisely for this reason that every landfill must have an adequate and properly set up system for the collection and control of landfill gases, i.e. a degassing system. The generation of gases at a landfill site depends on several factors, namely: the structure, size and age of the waste, the moisture content in the waste, pH and temperature. Other than methane and carbon dioxide, landfill gases that may also occur are oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen. This paper presents a description of the non-hazardous waste landfill "Totovec" in Međimurje and a presentation of the results of air emissions analysis in the period from 2005 to 2017. The measurement of the concentration of certain landfill gases was performed by the companies H - PROJEKT d.o.o. And ANT d.o.o. – the laboratory for analytics and toxicology.
