Abstract

Stijena je prirodna nakupina minerala sa različitim fizičkim i mehaničkim
svojstvima. Ta svojstva određuju se različitim metodama. U ovom radu opisana
je geološka podjela stijena s obzirom na način njihovog postanka te metode
ispitivanja njihovih mehaničkih svojstava. Njih je potrebno ispitati kako bismo
odgovarajućim pristupom mogli rješavati inženjerske zadatke u stijenama. Na
primjeru iz prakse obrađeni su i analizirani rezultati ultrazvučnih ispitivanja brzine
elastičnih valova, jednoosne tlačne čvrstoće i deformabilnosti dobivenih na
uzorcima vapnenca.

Abstract (english)

Rock is a natural accumulation of minerals with different physical and mechanical
properties. These properties are determined by different methods. In this paper,
the geological division of rocks is described with regard to the manner of their
formation as well as the methods of testing their mechanical properties. They
need to be examined so that we can solve engineering tasks in rocks by using a
right approach. Using an example from practice, the results of ultrasonic tests of
elastic wave velocity, uniaxial compressive strength and deformability obtained
on limestone samples were processed and analyzed.
