Abstract

U uvodnom dijelu ovog rada navedeno je što je komunalni otpad, postotak i količine sakupljenog komunalnog otpada u Republici Hrvatskoj na godišnjoj razini kao i čimbenici koji ovise o količinama otpada.
U sljedećem naslovu opisuje se Centar za gospodarenje otpadom Marišćina iz kojeg su dopremljeni uzorci otpada i na kojima su provedena istraživanja osnovnih geotehničkih parametara u Laboratoriju za istraživanje okoliša Geotehničkog fakulteta.
Rezultati istraživanja prikazani su u završnom dijelu rada.
Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi osnovne fizikalne parametre sitne frakcije otpada s CGO Marišćina. Na ispitivanim uzorcima otpada utvrđen je visok udio organske tvari uslijed čega se može očekivati da će se mehanički parametri otpada s protekom vremena mijenjati. Nadalje, utvrđeno je da zbog iznimne sitnozrnosti većinu uzorka nije moguće razvrstati te stoga za sitnu frakciju otpada s CGO Marišćina vjerojatno nije primjenljiv Kolsch-ov model posmične čvrstoće otpada.

Abstract (english)

The introductory part of this paper defines municipal waste and states the percentage and quantities of collected municipal waste in the Republic of Croatia on an annual basis, as well as factors that depend on the amount of waste.
The following title describes Marišćina Waste Management Centre from which waste samples were taken and whose basic geotechnical parameters were determined in the Laboratory for Environmental Research at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
The results of the research are presented in the final part of the paper.
The aim of this study was to determine the basic physical parameters of the fine fraction of waste from WMC Marišćina. A high proportion of organic matter was found on the tested waste samples, as a result of which it can be expected that the mechanical parameters of the waste will change over time. Furthermore, it was found out that due to the exceptional fineness of the most samples it was not possible to classify them and therefore Kolsch model of shear strength of waste is probably not applicable to the fine fraction of waste from WMC Marišćina.
